Born 1985 in Johannesburg, South Africa, Naomi Menyoko has acquired various skills and experience in a number of Arts and Cultural Institutions over the years. Menyoko holds qualifications from Music Life - School of Musicians, a private music institute where she was later employed and is a dedicated piano tutor, singer and song writer. Menyoko has also danced for The Broadway Dance Musical in Johannesburg with a focus on funk, hip hop, ballroom and jazz. Prior to her music and dance experience, Menyoko had also achieved a certificate with A++ Honours for Broadcasting and Television as well as drama experience from The Civic Theatre in Johannesburg (now Joburg Theatre). She studied Business, Marketing and Sales Management at Multi Careers Business College before working as a Gallery Assistant for The Thompson Gallery in Melville, where she was later promoted to Gallery Manager. She continued to work in other art galleries for a total of eight years and then went on to become Project Administrator for The Artscape Theatre Centre in Cape Town before becoming Project and Marketing Manager. Menyoko was selected as panelist for the jurisdiction panel for Artscape’s production. Her education and hands-on work experience have vastly affected and benefitted her in the development of the following skills: Interpersonal, Communication and Presentation skills, Leadership - Organization, Planning, Administrative and Teamwork skills-Proficiency in Computer literacy-Proficiency in the following languages: written and oral communication (English and Afrikaans - fluent) Speaks and reads Setswana.
